Connecting the Community with Folkestone Warren.s Wildlife - Engaging visitors to Folkestone Warren, through formal and informal engagement activities (May . October). These will provide visitors with the opportunity to discover more about this internationally important Nature Reserve.

To provide funding of £ 2500 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

Folkestone Warren is a busy public site, not only with local visitors but with people coming to this location throughout the summer period from across the UK as well as from abroad. Folkestone Warren is part of one of Kent.s two Heritage Coasts, which were ranked as the 4th best place to visit in the Lonely Planet.s list of the World.s Best Regions to Visit in 2022.

This recent ranking is likely to see an increase in visitor traffic so it would be great to capitalise on this and show the world what a fantastic place the Warren is, being a site of international importance for its biodiversity and geology.

Family activities at Folkestone Warren have been very popular (rock pooling, fossil hunting etc) and are always oversubscribed.
